The Magnanimous Equanimity of the Ratna Family

The famous Nyingma master Patrul Rinpoche said there is only one thing you need to become completely enlightened, and that is bodhicitta. If you lack that one thing you will not become enlightened no matter how much you practice because your efforts are all based in selfishness. The aspiration to realize Buddhahood and to relieve the suffering of all sentient beings are the marks of bodhicitta.
